Settlement uses the official MLB box score: every recorded hit and run by either team plus RBIs credited by the official scorer. Sacrifice flies count as RBIs but not hits; runs scored without an RBI (e.g., on errors) count as runs but may not generate an RBI depending on scorer rulings.

The closure time is listed on the event page (currently TBD) and markets generally close before the game begins; outcome is determined after the official box score is final and KALSHI applies its published resolution rules.

Starting pitchers heavily influence expected hits and runs: consider each starter's recent run prevention, ability to induce weak contact, tendency to allow extra-base hits, and how they match up with opponents' lineup handedness and power profiles.

Ballpark size, altitude, and prevailing wind direction can increase or decrease run and hit production; rain delays or extreme conditions can also alter playing time and manager strategy, so check forecasts and park history when forming a view.

The 35 outcomes are discrete resolution buckets that cover different total ranges or exact totals for combined hits, runs and RBIs; read the label for each contract to know its coverage and reference the platform's settlement rules to understand which bucket wins once the game is final.
